Tonight: Rain showers this evening with overcast skies overnight. Low 41F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%. |

well as soon as it stops raining Im taking those dalhia bulbs and putting them in the basement,my husband had the perfect box it was a box his new club came
in,boy oh boy,I could stack the bulbs side by side for the length of the box and it took care of all of them.Then we put the picnic table downstairs which
means I could then bring in my houseplants,Im tempted to wait but something tells me that the weather is going to do an aboutface overnight.This way Im working
at a less frantic pace.

I just had to cover up my pepper plants. They are still going strong, but it's already only 38 degrees out. We will frost over for sure tonight. That will
be great. Our first killing frost. No more mosquitoes or alergies. Yippppppy.....

its chilly this morning,I turned on the outside lights and come morning Im going looking for a lone turkey that came into the yard yesterday and layed
down,thats not good,I put food and water in front of him and he barely moved,then I came in and about an hour later he was gone.I hope hes ok but Ill look for
him.

It got down around freezing, overnight. Today, cloudy with a high of 51F.
Yesterday was our twenty seventh wedding anniversary. We went out for shopping, and then a steak dinner. |

Congratulations Frosted. Happy 27th and blessing for many many more.
It was 26 degrees out this morning. Brrrr....... It was our first hard frost. No more mosquitoes or rag week. Allllllll Gone. :-) Today is suppose to be the warmest day of the week with a high of 57 degrees.  I think I can safely start doing my snow dance.

I haven't even looked outside yet. The weather girls is saying rain for today with a high of 54 degrees. It didn't get as cold outside last night as it
did the night before so there must be some cloud cover out there.

Yup,Ive got on the radio and its already raining in parts of the state,but I came in from outside the sky is that telltale pink but no rain as yet,I sure hope
it holds off for a few hours Ive still got stuff to put away to the shed and the basement.

oh wow what a beautiful animal look how alert he is,hes the king of the world!

Carol, the S word entered the local forecast today for overnight tonight. Overnight tonight, we could be in for some wet SNOW. Not enough to accumulate though.
Just enough to see. That made my day already and it's still really early.

well my husband did some digging up some Irisis I had to get rid of,the weather for the weekend is calling for the same as you Greeneyes,Snow mixed with rain,I
sure hope they go anyways for the leaf peeping its such fun and the leaves will be gone if we wait another week,especially with the rain moving in.
Ahh,can you smell that,we went to Lyman Orchards yesterday and I picked up a packet of soup mix,I love this one its Lentil,I had left over Kilbashi and cut that up and put onion celery and carrot in the mix its got to cook until the lentils are tender which will be about an hour then I put in the spice packet they include,its really very very good.

I just went down for the paper and its raining,we got the snow yesterday btw but it couldnt accumulate,it snowed for several hours but there wasnt any on the
ground,its hard to believe now with all the cold snow and rain but I mowed on Monday,Im glad I did and Im gladder,(gladder ?) that I got that wood,we had
another fire yesterday afternoon,boy oh boy I LOVE the fireplace.

Its hard to believe the weatherman is saying were in for a good ole nor'easter the sun is out,its cool but not to cool out the sky is as blue as can be,yet
our foliage ride has been canceled because of rain thats suppose to move in later today and tomorrow.Im going outside,its much to nice to be indoors today.

yup,its raining here too,our leaf peeping has been postponed until the 25th,I sure hope theres something to see by then,the rains coming down fairly steadily,I
went out and filled the feeders and before I got it there was a wind that picked up,good day to stay indoors have a fire and watch the football game.

It snowed all day yesterday. It was so pretty. By the time it got dark out last night we had about an inch on the grass. Even though it was snowing, the ground
was still warm so it was basically melting as it hit. It took all day just to get that inch. It's still out there now, but the temps today will hit the mid
to high 50's so the snow will be gone by 10:00 this morning as the sun comes out.
Boy, was it pretty though. |
